29 September 2014 – Javea to Portitxol

After the longest, hottest and driest summer in recent memory, it is ironic that the forecast for our first post summer Monday walk should be a “red warning” for heavy rain and possible storms.
Only six of us for this first walk, all regulars who never miss a walk.   Perhaps the dire weather forecast put some off
Although the temperature has fallen to the low 20s, it was still quite hard going in parts.   After such a long break from walking we were all feeling the strain a little.

It was the first Monday walk since I got my new camera, and I had lots of opportunity to try out the longer range telephoto lens.

We had a light shower during the early part of the walk, but fortunately neither the heavy rain nor the storms made an appearance.

In fact it was quite warm and pleasant on Portitxol beach, and we watched a few hardy types swimming in the sea.

Monday 6 October 2014
Circular walk from Lliber to include the hidden valley.   Meet at the central car park in Lliber at 1000.
