Only seven
of us for today’s walk, four of the group are on a walking holiday in Andalusia
this week
Today’s walk
was from Pedreguer to Castell de Axia.
Its not our most popular walk, because it is a linear walk to the castle
and back. Jan and I love it because it
includes a lot of level walking and the opportunity to enjoy the views
The walk
starts with a gradual climb on a relatively good footpath. It is well signed, but I still managed to
miss one of them!
This is the
sort of view which makes it a firm favourite me and Jan
When
we reached the climb to the castle I was disappointed that no one wanted to
attempt it. It is a long return walk,
but the views from the castle are particularly impressive
Instead
we settled for our picnic among the rocks at the foot of the castle. Lots of space to spread out, and quite good
views to the coast as well

Next week
will be to the rock arches from Castell de Castells. Meet in the village car park at 10am.
